Pay: $96,047.76

Examples Of Work

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for Veteran care on assigned unit
• Oversee Veteran Care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
• Direct nursing services, including oversight/review of work for assigned staff.
• Oversee the supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, clinical instruction, and feedback to the nursing staff
• Manage unit in accordance with policy, procedure, state and federal regulations
• Participate in key factor process and development/implementation of corrective action and policies
• Meet with all 3 shifts at least once per month
• Communicate with Veterans, family, staff and/or physician regarding medical condition, customer satisfaction, admissions, and discharge
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure nursing team documentation meets MDS and the standards of practice
• Make rounds daily to ensure Veteran care needs and environmental standards are met
• Participate in Veteran care as needed, which could include lifting and transferring
  
  

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Missouri – in good standing
• 2+ years of experience as a registered nurse
